One of the smaller ones came quite close to us (a few km) but the larger, devastating ones are further away. All within the outskirts of Melbourne, though. It's been very very sad, and the news is almost impossible to watch, with so many tragic stories. Nearly 200 dead at the last count, and thousands have lost their homes. A little town that we loved to visit has been totally burnt to the ground.
