Yeah, I suppose RP would have entertained the idea of a reunion tour several years ago before he started working on other material. I'm really sorry I didn't catch Zeppelin at the O2 - I figured that, since it was a Benefit show UK style, each band would do 3 songs and poof! Well, THAT was a misjudgement, just like returning the nose-bleed-blue-section tix to Madison Square Garden in 1977 because the band would seem around an inch tall, but of course Zep filled most arenas with the Sound they had. The night we would have gone, some moron in the audience threw a firework known in the US as a Cherry Bomb onstage, and it just missed Jimmy Page's hand - so he let loose a reportedly huge blast of feedback in retaliation.
On a positive note isn't it somewhat of a relief to know that guitarists everywhere won't have that yardstick-on-tour to be measured up to? Nah, I'd like to see 'em anyway.
